Xi Jinping meets with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni

Xi Jinping pointed out that he was very pleased to be invited to visit beautiful Cambodia on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of King Norodom Sihamoni's accession to the throne and the Cambodian New Year, and would like to extend New Year greetings to the Cambodian people. Xi Jinping stressed that China cherishes its friendship with the Cambodian royal family and highly appreciates the important contributions made by the Cambodian royal family to the cause of China-Cambodia friendship over the years. Under the new circumstances, China and Cambodia should cherish and inherit the ironclad friendship between China and Cambodia jointly created by the older generation of Chinese leaders and King Father Norodom Sihanouk, give the China-Cambodia community of shared future new contemporary connotations, serve the development of their respective countries and the well-being of their people, and make greater contributions to building a community of shared future for neighboring countries and promoting the building of a community of shared future for mankind. President Xi Jinping's visit is a historic visit, which will deepen the iron friendship between the two countries, enrich the "Diamond Hexagon" cooperation framework, and promote Cambodia-China relations to a new level. Norodom Sihamoni awarded Xi Jinping the "Grand Collar of the Order of National Independence of the Kingdom of Cambodia".
