On the same day, the Information Office of The State Council of China held a press conference on the exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the launch of outstanding literary and artistic works and activities. Lu Yingchuan introduced at the meeting the relevant situation of the cultural evening and performance exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Lu Yingchuan said that at this important juncture of this year, we have organized and held a cultural evening together with relevant departments, centering on the theme of "Remembering history, honoring the martyrs, cherishing peace and creating the future", and selected a batch of outstanding thematic cultural works for centralized performance and exhibition.
It is learned that in addition to the art evening, the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will organize and hold a performance of outstanding stage art works to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War from August to October. At that time, we will select around 20 outstanding plays from across the country and perform them in about 40 shows in major theaters in Beijing. Lu Yingchuan said that at the same time, this performance exhibition will adhere to the people-friendly orientation, and a certain proportion of low-priced people-friendly tickets will be set for each performance.
In addition, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles will hold an art exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War at the National Art Museum of China from August to September. At that time, over 300 works of various types of fine arts, including Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculptures and watercolors, will be selected from classic works collected by art museums and related units at all levels across the country as well as newly created works in recent years for centralized exhibition.
