Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, October 15 — On October 15, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message to Patrick Herminie, congratulating him on his election as President of the Republic of Seychelles.
China and Seychelles have a traditional friendly relationship, with both sides supporting each other on issues involving their respective core interests and major concerns, and achieving remarkable results in cooperation in areas such as infrastructure and green development. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Seychelles.
