Steel grating introduce
Steel grating is generally made of carbon steel and coated with hot-dip galvanizing on its surface to prevent oxidation. It can also be made of stainless steel. Steel grating has various features, such as ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, slip resistance, and explosion resistance.
Classification
- According to the welding method, it can be divided into pressure welding type, interlocking type, through-locking type and through-welding type.
- According to the shape of the side surface of the flat steel based on its load, it can be divided into flat type, tooth type, and "工" type.
- According to their purpose, steel gratings can be divided into general purpose steel gratings and specialized steel gratings such as trench covers, step boards, etc.
- Steel grating panels are divided into two types based on material: stainless steel grating panels and carbon steel grating panels.
Production method
- The pressure-welded steel grating panel is a product that is made according to customer requirements by processing the original plate that is formed from flat steel and crossbars arranged at certain distances through welding by 200-ton hydraulic resistance welding automation equipment, and then undergoing operations such as cutting, perforating, and edging.
- Load-bearing flat steel spacing: the distance between the centers of two adjacent load-bearing flat steels, commonly used in two types: 30MM and 40MM.
- Horizontal bar spacing: The center distance between two adjacent horizontal bars is usually 50MM or 100MM, and can be produced according to customer requirements.
- Various types of steel grating can be customized according to customer requirements.
Surface treatment
Hot-dip galvanizing, cold-dip galvanizing, electroplating, spray painting, rust-proof oil immersion, plastic immersion, untreated.

- Horizontal spacing: the regular intervals are 50 and 100 mm, and there are also non-standard intervals of 38 and 76, etc.
- Width: 20-60 (mm).
- Thickness: 3-50(mm).
Application
Widely used platforms, walkways, trestles, trench covers, manhole covers, ladders, fences, and factory construction are applied in fields such as petrochemicals, electricity, tap water, sewage treatment, port terminals, building decoration, shipbuilding, self-propelled parking lots, municipal engineering, and environmental sanitation engineering.
Steel grating fence panel is a substitute for steel grating used as a guardrail. Guardrail is also known as guardrail mesh or isolation fence, so "steel grating substitution" is also called steel grating fence panel. Due to its superior strength and durability compared to guardrail mesh, steel grating is mostly custom-made for specific requirements and is rarely used in general. Its price is also two to three times higher than that of ordinary guardrails.

In addition to the advantages of the standard pressure-welded steel grating, such as pleasing appearance and easy installation, it also meets the strict requirements for the size of objects passing through or falling under certain special circumstances. For example, in busy civilian areas, dense steel grating can meet the requirements for ladies' high-heeled shoes to walk on; in large industrial and mining enterprises with heavy traffic, it is required that no large objects (such as steel balls with a diameter less than 20mm) should fall down to meet safety requirements.
