The difference between SWB bill of lading and telex release bill of lading mainly includes the following points:
- Nature: SWB Bill of lading, full name of Sea Waybill, is a special form of ocean bill of lading, is the carrier to the shipper or its agent to show that the goods have been received to be loaded documents, is a non-transferable document.
Telex release bill of lading is short for telex release of goods. Foreign carriers keep a full set of original bills of lading and notify the agent of the port of destination. The consignee can take delivery of goods with a copy of the bill of lading stamped with the original official seal and a letter of guarantee.
- Right holder: SWB bill of lading has no real right certificate, which cannot be circulated and transferred. Once SWB is made, the cargo right no longer belongs to the shipper, so SWB is the most risky way of release, and the consignor has no real right.
The Telex Release bill of lading is written Surrendered and telex release. After the shipper submits the application for telex release to the shipping company and provides the letter of guarantee, the shipping company will issue the telex release bill of lading to the shipper. If the shipping company has already issued the original bill of lading, the shipper will generally be required to provide the letter of guarantee when returning the original bill of lading. Reissue telex release bill of lading.
- Delivery method: SWB is a kind of express bill of lading. The Consignee at the port of destination only needs to prove that his identity is consistent with the consignee on the bill of lading, and he can pick up the goods after paying the fee. SWB does not need to produce any bill of lading, even a copy.
Telex release requires the consignee to take delivery of the goods with the copy of the bill of lading stamped with the original official seal and the letter of guarantee.
