The hexagonal wire mesh features evenly sized holes and is predominantly made from low carbon steel. Hexagonal wire netting comes in two variations: galvanized metal wire and PVC coated metal wire, each with different surface treatments. The galvanized wire boasts a wire diameter range of 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm, while the PVC-coated wire ranges from 0.8 mm to 2.6 mm. With excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance, the hexagonal wire netting is widely used as a gabion net for slope protection. Depending on the intended use, hexagonal wire netting can be categorised as chicken wire or slope protection wire, with the former featuring smaller mesh sizes. In addition, hexagonal wire mesh comes in two twist styles - normal twist and reverse twist.
